George MacCreath, of Redberth, near Tenby is an incredible young man with epilepsy, additional needs and a heart of gold, according to Julia Mills, his support worker.

George, a former head boy of Portfield School in Haverfordwest, loves watching Children in Need and the real life stories that encourage people to raise lots of money to make their lives better. This year, George wanted to do something to help. So that was the start of The George 5.

George achieved five separate challenges over seven days, despite his own difficulties which require specialist support daily from Voyage Care.

This was an awesome task to coordinate but George did this and never complained, even when it was a struggle. “He is truly amazing,” Julia observed. George started on October 20 and finished the fifth challenge on October 27.

George needs support to access everything outside his home, so to do this for Children in Need was so very important to George as he knows all the money will go to help children who are poorly or disabled.

“George is a delightful, kind and thoughtful young man and it’s been a wonderful and enlightening experience to coordinate and complete the challenges with him,” added Julia.

To date George has raised £460.00 and money is still coming in; he can be justly proud of what he has achieved. Please check out George’s justgiving page https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/george-maccreath to donate and read more about George’s challenges.
