Manorbier Castle was given a spooky overhaul this Hallowe'en with a double-billing of the most iconic monster in cinema history.
Rooms With a View presented its fourth pop-up cinema event this year. It's the first venture to be held outside Tenby, and this time Manorbier Castle's chapel provided the perfect backdrop for black and white Hammer horror.
A full-house of 60 viewers watched Boris Karloff in the 1931 original Frankenstein, followed by the sequel Frankenstein's Bride. The films, which were to spawn multiple sequels, tell the story of a young scientist who creates a monster he cannot control through his experiments in a secluded castle.
Within two weeks of going on sale via the group's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/Films4Tenby">www.facebook.com/Films4Tenby), all tickets for the event were sold out.
During the interval between the double-bill, food and refreshments were put on by Manorbier Castle in the Crypt Café below. Pumpkin soup, drinks and Frankenfurter hotdogs helped keep the cold night at bay.
Films4Tenby would like to thank Emily and Katie from Manorbier Castle for helping to host the event.
