Former Wales and Lions rugby international Shane Williams was in Tenby on Wednesday filming ahead of his Ironman challenge in the resort this month.

Shane who took on the Ironman Wales challenge last year was filming with the Visit Wales team on some of the town’s beaches, showing some of the training preparation he is undertaking ahead of the triathlon on September 15.

Ironman Wales begins on Tenby’s North Beach, which provides one of the most spectacular swim locations on the race circuit. Despite challenging bike and run courses, athletes are treated to consistent and motivating inspiration from some of the most vocal and enthusiastic spectators in endurance sports.
