Chris Brace, Simon and Shelby Rossiter would like to say a big thank you to everyone who turned up in terrible weather last Saturday for Wales’ very first Bloodwise winter walk.
The event was a great success raising in the region of £5,000. Chris commented that he could not thank Dom John and all the staff at the Tenby Rugby Club enough for allowing them to use the rugby club as their HQ and suppling an excellent buffet for all the very wet walkers to enjoy on completion.
Also Richard Graham, of Big Brum, who very kindly donated two Six Nations Rugby tickets for the Wales v Ireland game, which were used as the raffle prize.
The raffle raised £300 on the day so many thanks go to Richard.
Simon wanted to thank Gareth Davies for meeting walkers at the Giltar Hotel to take an excellent photo of all who had attended the walk, also thanks to the Giltar Hotel for allowing Gareth to use one of their balconies so he could take the excellent aerial photo.
Shelby stated that they intend to hold a Bloodwise summer walk later in the year, laughing she said, hopefully it will be a little drier on that day.
She added: “We will continue to raise funds for the Bloodwise charity and together we will beat blood cancer.”
