Tenby’s band of fundraising firefighters have said thanks to all those that helped raise a whopping total of £4,200 at last year’s carnival.

Tenby Retained Firemen’s annual carnival always has a special place in the resort’s calendar and never fails to capture the imagination of the crowds that line the route of the procession or the numerous floats and fancy dress competitors taking part, and 2015’s was no exception featuring one of the biggest parades in recent years despite the weather.

“Thanks to all who donated prizes for the grand draw (raffle) and sponsors, and as always to the locals who made the carnival parade happen even when it was raining that much,” said carnival chairman Rhys Thomas.

Money raised goes towards the firefighters charity which helps support injured firefighters in recovery and their family.
