Following the successful screenings at the Fourcroft Hotel, ’Films4Tenby’ have decided to work in partnership with the De Valence Pavilion Trust to bring community cinema to the town in a larger venue in the centre of Tenby.
Films4Tenby would like to thank the Fourcroft Hotel for their hospitality and support.
The showings will be a boon to Tenby residents who don’t drive or would like to watch films in the local area.
Recent releases will be shown twice a month on Tuesdays at 7.30 pm in the upper gallery of the De Valence located on Upper Frog Street and the bar will be open before the showing. The films will cost £5, or £4 for members. Membership for the year will be £10. There is no need to book, you can join on the night or just pay the non-members price.
The award-winning Fuchsia Café is pleased to be part of this new venture and there will be a pre-film meal available at the café at 6 pm. It will be £10 for a two-course meal, but prior booking is essential, on phone 219224 or email thefuschiacaffé@gmail.com
If you would like to find out more, Films4Tenby have a facebook page and a website www.films4Tenby.co.uk. There are leaflets available in the De Valence.
The first film will be on Tuesday, May 1, and will be ‘Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool’.
Films4Tenby’s sister group, Rooms with a View, also have a screening coming up, in partnership with Tenby Library. This will be a new season of Future Shorts, a collection of new and award-winning short films from around the world.
This will be on May 19 at 7 pm for the screening to start at 7.30 pm in the hall beside Tenby Library. Entrance will be £5 with refreshments available for a donation to library funds. Everyone is welcome.
