After many years of planning major renovations to Bethany Chapel, members of Pennar Community Church met with a building company representative last Monday and finalised plans for the work to start in late July.

In support of the work, a coffee morning was held last Tuesday and raised £140. The previous coffee morning had raised £150 for Christian Aid, whose current appeal stands at £1,700, following excellent collections at Tesco, plus the much appreciated male voice concert at St. Andrews.

Church activities: Saturday 11 am Messy Church for everyone! Sunday services at 11 am and 6 pm led by Rev. Roger Hart. Monday prayer and Bible study at 7.30 pm.Tuesday Sisterhood at 7.30 pm.

Community events: Wednesday - Little Angels at 10am, Springboard Adult Cookery at 12.30 pm, Rainbows and Brownies at 4 pm, Fat Club at 7.15 pm; Thursday - Pure Poetry in Motion with Rodgers Ranch Line-Dancing, 8 pm!
