The suggestion of an ‘events calendar’ to promote what Tenby has to offer all year round had been suggested by a local councillor.

Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Mrs. Caroline Thomas noted that the minutes from the Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism’s latest meeting which came before members, suggested that the visittenby.co.uk website’s ‘events’ calendar needed more events to be added.

“Once upon a time we had an events calendar for the town, as people on holiday here wouldn’t be able to look up a website back then, so I think it would be worthwhile going back to something like that, so visitors could see a list of what was going on for the whole year in Tenby,” she said.

“Maybe an events board or posters that could be put up in the town, and around caravan parks in the area. We could collaborate with the Chamber or Trade on it,” added Clr. Mrs. Thomas.

The Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Lane, said that the town council’s representatives on the Chamber, Clr. Mike Evans and Clr. Paul Rapi, could take the suggestion to the next meeting.
