Learn about Llŷr Floating Offshore Wind Farms at one of three Public Awareness Days.

Floventis Energy is the company behind The Llŷr Developments, two floating offshore wind test and demonstration arrays off the coast of Pembrokeshire that will power in the region of 200,000 homes with 200MW of clean, green energy.

Three Public Awareness Days will be held in July in order to provide everyone the opportunity to view details of the proposals and find out a bit more about the work carried out in the region to date. There will also be an opportunity at each event to speak to and ask questions of members of the project team and provide comments and feedback.

The first event will take place at Pembroke Dock Community Learning Centre, Bush Street, Pembroke Dock, SA72 6XF on Wednesday, July 5

The second will be held in the Tŷ Milford Waterfront Hotel, Nelson Quay, Milford Haven, Wales, SA73 3AA on Tuesday, July 11

And the third event takes place at Haverfordwest Community Learning Centre, Dew Street, Haverfordwest, SA61 1ST on Wednesday, July 12.

Each Public Awareness Day will be open from 3pm to 7.30pm.

Publicising the event, Grwp Resilience founder Vicky Moller said:

“Here’s a chance to learn about the floating wind turbines coming to our seas, that is the plan. I am really looking forward to learn lots and ask how these benefit us, and how we can benefit them.

“I think they are our seas and we should support their protection and the protection of earth. So no trawling round the wind turbines… how this might replenish fish stocks from the brink!“

“Where will the power end up? Who will own it? Who will benefit? How low carbon? - lots of questions to make this an asset for the people. Also what barriers have they had to overcome so far, that the dirty energy industries, oil and gas do not have to face?

“Come join the questioning and - if justified - the support.”
