Residents, businesses and stakeholders are being invited to attend a community drop-in information event next Tuesday (July 7) ahead of the start of the Havens Head and Lower Priory Alleviation Scheme in Milford Haven.
Funded by Welsh Government, the scheme has been developed to help reduce flood risk and improve resilience for homes, businesses and infrastructure in the area.
The scheme is to install a new culvert within Havens Head, and further flood mitigation works in Lower Priory. The new culvert will add extra capacity to the existing Havens Head and Lower Priory culvert system and allow independent draining of the Havens Head and Lower Priory Pills.
The existing connection is to be retained as part of the works. The new culvert will help provide a 1 in 100-year standard of protection for the communities of Havens Head and Lower Priory.
Hosted by Pembrokeshire County Council, Port of Milford Haven, Walters and WSP, the event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the project, view the plans and speak directly with members of the project team.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
