The presence of Invasive Non-Native Species (INNS) like Himalayan Balsam and Japanese Knotweed is a large factor in the deteriorating health of our rivers.

With their ability to spread rapidly and grow these species easily drown out suitable areas for native species to inhabit.

West Wales Rivers Trust is partnering with Pembrokeshire Coast National Park who already have a good understanding of Pembrokeshire’s INNS abundance and distribution. However, more information and hands-on help is required.

On May 1, 7pm at Haverfordwest Rugby Club, the trust will host an Invasive Species Workshop to provide training towards the best practice removal of invasive species.

To attend, email [email protected] with your name, number attending, contact details and ‘INNS Workshop’ in the email title.
