Tenby based illustrator, known as the ‘Welsh Queen of Colouring’ Millie Marotta is back with a, exciting new book ‘Island Escape’ that invites colourists young and old to lend their palette to wildlife from the world’s island habitats!

Since the release of her debut colouring book, Millie has become a global success, selling over 9 million copies worldwide.

In ‘Millie Marotta’s Island Escape’ she whisks us away on an adventure around the world’s islands, where we’re invited to colour in a host of glorious wildlife.

As Millie is an illustrator who specialises in wildlife, her books are impeccably researched to represent actual wildlife and their habitats – all rendered in Millie’s signature style that invites you to hours of creative, mindful and relaxing colouring.

Colourists will be immersed in an island paradise where lizards lounge and sea birds soar, from Madagascar to the remote Svalbard, from Vancouver to the Galápagos Islands. Discover Cozumel Island’s pygmy raccoon, the Komodo dragon, the Mauritian flying fox and the Javan rhino.

There’s also exotic greenery to add a touch of colour to, from pitcher plants and orchids, to vines and prickly pear trees.

Whether tropical or arctic, wind-blown or mountainous, far-flung or closer to home – an island escape full of glorious wildlife awaits to be coloured.

A pioneer in the global colouring movement, Millie had been an illustrator long before she inked her first book. Millie’s intricate illustrations are inspired by a love of wildlife and fascination with the natural world.

In 2015, Millie’s debut title Animal Kingdom spent a record 22 weeks as the official paperback non-fiction No.1. Since then, she has sold 9 million books around the world and her books have been translated into over 30 languages.

Her books include Secrets of the Sea, Woodland Wild, Tropical Wonderland and Beautiful Birds and Treetop Treasures. She is available for interview.

Millie Marotta’s Island Escape, published by Batsford, will be released in September.
