TOMORROW (June 13), the Oasis One World Choir brings Togetherland to Hermon in Pembrokeshire, in collaboration with Welsh artists Ffion Campbell-Davies and Phil Okwedy.
The day will bring forth a remarkable performance of song, dance, and storytelling, with a free performance workshop and an extraordinary show, which is also free.
The Oasis One World Choir serves as a welcoming community for individuals seeking sanctuary in Cardiff and beyond. The choir’s mission is to learn and grow together, fostering connections with people from diverse backgrounds. The choir serves as a lifeline for many who are starting anew in a foreign land, often facing language barriers. However, the universal language of music transcends these obstacles, allowing choir members to forge new friendships and build a sense of belonging.
Performance Storyteller from West Wales, Phil Okwedy, collaborated with choir members to create captivating performance pieces centred around themes of sanctuary and freedom. Together, they have crafted compelling narratives that will touch your heart.
Additionally, multi-talented artist Ffion Campbell-Davies worked closely with the choir to compose the powerful anthem of togetherness called "Togetherland" and choreographed stunning movement pieces that will add an extra layer of magic to the performance.
Taking place at Canolfan Hermon, Hermon SA36 0DT, the event will also feature special guest appearances by acclaimed choirs Côr Pawb, Preseli Voices, and One Voice Choir, further enriching the experience with their incredible talents.

Jane Hutt, the Minister for Social Justice in Wales, shared her pride in Wales’ journey towards becoming a Nation of Sanctuary. She emphasized the importance of extending a warm welcome to all individuals who choose to make Wales their home, irrespective of their origin or means of arrival.
The act of leaving one’s beloved homeland, parting from family members, and embarking on a new life can be an immensely challenging and lonely experience. By extending a heartfelt welcome and integrating newcomers into the community, we can contribute to their happiness and well-being. The Oasis One World Choir plays a vital role in this process, uniting people through the universal language of music and embodying the true spirit of inclusivity and acceptance.
