Tenby Jazz lunchers enjoyed traditional Louisiana revivalism music from the New Orleans Hot Potatoes.

The quartet of ‘grizzled’ jazz musicians - John Scantlebury (sax, clarinet and vocals), Sarah Thatcher (guitar and banjo), Tom Whittingham ( trombone) and Spike Kennedy (double bass) - performed on Sunday, June 22.

As the audience enjoyed the food, the band played through their music menu, including Careless Love, Sunny Side of the Street, One Night of Sin, CC Rider, Burgundy Street Blues and Ice Cream. They were joined a surprise performer: Thomas Gilg, on holiday with his wife in Tenby.

Next jazz lunches at the Clarence are The Dave Jones Quartet (July 20) and James Chadwick’s ‘Inside Out’ (August 17). Call 01834 844371 or visit www.TenbyJazz.co.uk
