THIS February half term, Milford Haven’s Torch Theatre calls all science fans to pop along to a brand new educational show that puts the “Exciting” back into Science.
Exciting Science combines science experiments with theatre with experiments carried out live on stage. It’s the perfect way to engage an audience, and fuel their interest.
Guaranteed to amaze and astound young people of all ages from four years and upwards, Mad Mike, Dangerous Dean, Krazy Kelly and Fabulous Faye will recreate a volcanic eruption; turn a vacuum cleaner into a missile launcher and take aim at you with their smoke blaster! So, stand clear and prepare for action, as this show is full of wiz, bang, pop …. and splurt!
Mad Mike, one of the Exciting Science organisers and handy with a roll of gaffer tape and a set of pliers, can turn anything into a new science experiment. Then there’s Dangerous Dean. “He’s like our very own crash test dummy”, said Mad Mike. ”If there’s anything the rest of us are unsure of doing, we make Dean do it first. Kindly Kelly – don’t be fooled by the big smile and flashing eyes, she’s a master of destruction - our very own demolition expert and it’s not always intentional). And finally, there’s fabulous Faye - she knows her facts, she knows her science... she’s just... well, fabulous!”
Torch Theatre’s Anwen Francis said: “We are delighted to be welcoming this fun-filled science show to the Torch this half term. So many young people enjoy science and seeing real experiments unfold. We can’t wait to see what amazing and exciting events will emerge.”
Exciting Science will visit the theatre on Wednesday, February 18 at 11.30am and 2pm. Book via the website, www.torchtheatre.co.uk, or call the box office on 01646 695267.
