Twr y Felin art hotel in St Davids is offering a pre-concert talk before the St Davids Cathedral Festival evening programme on Tuesday, May 28.

Dr Sarah Beynon from the nearby Bug Farm will be discussing her project to bring the locally extinct marsh fritillary butterfly back to St Davids, for which a collection will be taken at the evening’s concert.

Her talk will be followed by clarinettist Emma Johnson, winner of the 1984 BBC Young Musician of the Year. She will be joining Simon Pearce in conversation about her life in music and her ‘Tree of Life’ composition, which was written to convey her thoughts about the ongoing climate crisis. 

Beginning at 7pm, the evening’s concert also features Emma Johnson and her orchestra in a programme of music celebrating the beauty of our natural world.
