From the director of the Fully Monty, The Penguin Lessons is the next film choice for the free Summerhill Film Night at Amroth Parish Hall.

The Penguin Lessons will be screened this Friday, August 8. Starring Steve Coogan and Jonathan Pryce, the 12-rated film is based on the true story of Tom, a disillusioned Englishman who went to work in a school in Argentina in 1976.

Expecting an easy ride, Tom discovers a divided nation and a class of unteachable students. However, after he rescues a penguin from an oil-slicked beach, his life is turned upside-down.

Summerhill Film Night is coordinated by Amroth Community Council and District Community Association. Tea and coffee are available before the film, and admission is completely free, thanks to support from the National Lottery Community Fund. (Donations are appreciated).

Bring a cushion for added comfort. Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
