Redhill High School has officially opened its brand-new teaching block with a plaque unveiling by Miss Sara Edwards, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed, in the company of students, staff, directors, and special guests.
The event on Friday, June 27 marked a milestone for the Clynderwen school and celebrated the completion of a modern building that will enhance learning opportunities for current and future generations of Redhill students, many of whom come from the Tenby area.
Guests were treated to a performance by talented students Eva Corr (piano) and Lucy John (voice), whose heartfelt rendition of ‘Quiet’ from Matilda the Musical captivated the audience.
In her address, Miss Sara Edwards spoke warmly of the school’s achievements and praised the collaborative effort that brought the new block to life, saying: “I hope that the new facility will further inspire and enable all the Redhill students and staff who use it for many years to come.”

The Lord Lieutenant was joined by Dr Chris Martin OBE DL, Deputy Lieutenant of Dyfed, as well as two distinguished guests who played key roles in the building’s development and have personal connections to the school: Mr Neil Griffiths of WB Griffiths & Sons Ltd, and Mr William Silverstone of Silverstone Green Energy Ltd. Both men, proud parents of Redhill pupils, were instrumental in delivering the vision for the new block.
Also in attendance were Redhill directors Alun Millington (Headteacher), Ed and Laura Tomp, Bethan Millington, Meryl Lovegrove, and Peter Lovegrove, who supervised the construction process and ensured that every detail met the highest standards.
The event concluded with tours of the new block and refreshments, giving visitors the chance to see the vibrant, forward-looking learning environment that Redhill High School continues to nurture.
The new facility will house state-of-the-art classrooms, dedicated spaces for science and IT, and environmentally friendly features supported by Silverstone Green Energy Ltd.

Headteacher and Director Alun Millington commented: “This new building is a testament to the success of our school and the support of our parents and students. It enhances our facilities and most importantly reflects our commitment to excellence and our aspirations for the future.”
