PENNAR Community School has opened its new trim trail thanks to a huge fundraising campaign!
The children, staff and governors of the primary school in Pennar, Pembroke Dock were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of their new trim trail on Monday, September 22. The project was made possible thanks to the incredible dedication of the school’s PTA, the Friends of Pennar (FOPS).

Throughout the year, FOPS organised a range of successful fundraising events, including a whole-school Easter Bonnet sponsored walk, which alone raised an impressive £12,000. Their commitment didn’t stop there — they also gathered a team of enthusiastic volunteers who gave their time to clear the site in advance, helping the project run smoothly from the outset.
Headteacher Mr McGarvie said: “We are very grateful for the support and efforts of the Friends of Pennar in providing such a fantastic resource for the children. We are also thankful for the support given from the families and local businesses for their generosity.”
The school community extends heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for their time, energy and generosity in bringing this fantastic addition to life for the children of Pennar Community School.
