Neyland Town Council, with the support of Neyland Community School, local residents, young people and parents, took the lead in launching a regeneration project to re-develop the existing play park in Neyland.

The project aims to provide, in stages, facilities that will prove to be attractions for children of varying age groups, and those with special needs.

By providing modern play facilities in Neyland, the town council hopes to encourage interpersonal skills, levels of fitness and a sense of belonging to the community.

Dragon LNG is showing its support to the facility by pledging £5,000 to the project.

Wendy Goldsworthy, of Dragon LNG, said: "We are very pleased to support Neyland Town Council in providing this wonderful facility."

Mayor of Neyland, Clr. Maureen Molyneux, was delighted with the support and commented: "During my year in office, my main community objective has been the Neyland Play Park project. I would like to thank Wendy Goldsworthy and Dragon LNG for their most generous contribution, which will help our community toward achieving play park facilities suitable for tots to teens to enjoy, and be proud of."
