Councillors in Tenby are set to put forward their representations on a ‘variation of licence’ application put forward by a premises in the town when the matter is discussed at a meeting of Pembrokeshire County Council’s licensing sub-committee this month.
Allegations of ‘unacceptable noise nuisance’ and ‘drunken behaviour’ spilling out onto St, George Street street were reasons given by members of Tenby town council at a recent meeting when recommending refusal for Bar 10’s application to extend its opening hours until 2 am.
The application is seeking a variation of licence to allow sale of alcohol until 0130 hrs seven days a week (currently midnight); recorded music (1100hrs to 0130 hrs); and opening hours from 1100 hrs to 0200 hrs.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, the town clerk Andrew Davies told members that the licensing meeting at County Hall to determine the application would be held on February 18 and that the town council had been invited to send representations on the day to state their case as to why the proposals should be refused.
