Repairs and alterations to the interior of Tenby’s De Valence Pavilion are continuing, councillors were told this week
Deputy Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown, updated her fellow councillors and said that the venue had been closed for most of February and this month to allow for the refurbishment works.
“We’ve redone the bar and the upstairs one is next,” she explained, pointing to improvements to the toilet facilities too.
“We’re using all local tradesmen, too, so it’s nice to be able to hand them employment during the winter,” added Clr. Mrs. Brown, who was congratulated by the Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, on all the hard work she had put in at the venue.
“Without you, the De Valence wouldn’t be open and I take my hat off to you,” she remarked.
Clr. Laurence Blackhall also commended the hard work and said the facility had now become a ‘top class’ venue for Pembrokeshire, which was worth shouting about.
