Pembrokeshire is to host the 2018 Pride Youth Games (PYG) – the first time the event has been held in Wales

It will run at the Stackpole National Trust Estate from August 17 to 19.

The event is being organised by PRIDE Games and LGBT Sport Cymru in partnership with Sport Pembrokeshire and The Stackpole Centre.

It has been held since 2008 and past venues include Manchester, Carlisle and Stirling.

Ben Field from Sport Pembrokeshire explained: “The emphasis will be on sports that make use of Pembrokeshire’s beautiful coastline. The County was chosen by the organisers to celebrate the Welsh ‘Year of the Sea’.”

“Activities on offer will include surfing, golf, stand up paddle board, cricket, mountain biking beach rugby, stand up paddle board and beach yoga.”
