People showing disrespect to the War Memorial gardens and church grounds in Tenby have been criticised by a local councillor.
Speaking at last week’s meeting of Tenby town council, Clr. Laurence Blackhall told his colleagues that people sitting on the grass of the town’s War Memorial gardens alongside the cenotaph eating takeaway food and culprits doing the same thing in the grounds of St. Mary’s Church were showing a lack of respect.
“These are not areas where you should be having picnics, sitting around eating takeaway food and fish and chips, or kicking a football around during public events in the town,” he said.
“There are plenty of designated areas to sit and eat food, so when you’re next buying a takeaway - think about where you’re eating it and show some respect!” he added.
