Two licensing applications at Tenby Harbour were met with differing views by local councillors when discussed this week.

A variation of the licence for Tenby Sailing Club to allow non-members to use the premises after 9 pm, was backed by members at a meeting of the town council on Tuesday night.

However, an application for The Stowaway on Penniless Cove Hill, for a variation of its licence to extend the hours of the sale of alocohol between 8 and and 10 pm, and to further include the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises, was recommended for refusal by councillors.

“I’d query why they are seeking to sell alcohol from 8 am in the morning, and I also don’t agree with the sale of alcohol to be taken off the premises, as the first thing that will happen is that people will be queuing to buy beer there at the charity Summer Spectacular events,” commented Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown
