Issues regarding the new recycling scheme have been raised by members of Narberth Town Council.
At a meeting held on last Tuesday (October 1), Clr. Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers said that she wanted another recycling demonstration to be held, in order to explain to residents what the new system would look like.
The previous demonstration was affected by the poor weather.
She also claimed that “Pembrokeshire County Council don’t know what they are doing with the new recycling scheme.”
Clr. Sue Rees voiced her concerns surrounding the colour of the residual waste bags.
The Deputy Mayor mentioned that she had concerns with children getting bullied due to people being able to see what was in the bag.
She also raised concerns for the elderly.
Mayor of Narberth, Clr. Chris Walters, proposed that they write to PCC’s head of recycling to express the council’s views on the issue.
