The Women's Institute (WI) will once again be celebrating Welsh culture, creativity and community at this year's National Eisteddfod, with a vibrant and interactive stand at Eisteddfod y Garreg Las in Llantwd from August 1 to 8 .

Hosted by the Pembrokeshire Federation of WIs, the WI stand (813–814) on the Maes will offer visitors the chance to discover more about the WI movement, take part in demonstrations, explore handcrafted displays and learn about the WI's work on issues affecting women and communities across Wales and beyond.

Visitors to the stand will be able to find out more about the WI’s current campaigns, including Thinking Differently: Autistic and ADHD Women and Girls, Not in My Name, Clean Rivers, and Bystanders Can Be Lifesavers. Also on display will be the Pembrokeshire Federation's striking St David's Day quilt, showcasing the creativity and craft skills of local WI members.

There will even be an opportunity to register to attend a free taster session at a local WI.

Throughout the week, the stand will host a varied programme of demonstrations, including peg loom weaving, crochet, Christmas decoration making, fresh flower arranging, creating table mats from recycled bottle tops, cookery and Fabergé-style egg decorating.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase a range of handmade items, including knitted scarves, as well as a calendar featuring some of Pembrokeshire's most iconic landmarks.
