A FARM and visitor attraction at Gumfreston, near Tenby has been declared a TripAdvisor 2025 Travellers’ Choice Awards winner, with visitors’ ratings and reviews placing it among the top 10 things to do worldwide!
Set in the beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside, the 175-acre Great Wedlock Farm and Deer Park usually has somewhere between 170 and 200 deer in the park at any one time. All of the deer are from one of three types: Red Deer, White Red Deer and Fallow Deer.
A two-mile country walk runs around the perimeter of the park. The attraction also offers daily safaris and visitors can hire 4-seater self-drive all-terrain electric safari buggies.
An eco-friendly farm, Great Wedlock Farm and Deer Park is completely powered by green energy generated by solar panels, and includes a special untouched 26-acre area around the river Ritec which is kept as a nature reserve.

The park also had a visit from Tenby Camera Club during the month, with one of the members observing: “A great time was had by all, with the bonus of some fantastic deer shots by the guys. We had refreshments after, which were delightful.”

You can experience Great Wedlock Farm and Deer Park for yourself with ease, as it’s open every day during the school holidays. Opening hours are 10am to 4pm. Note that to protect the wellbeing of the deer, the number of visitors to the deer park is limited on each day and dogs are not allowed on site. (Guide Dogs are permitted inside the farm and barns).
