There was no service at Saundersfoot Methodist Church last Sunday, but next Sunday the service at 11am will be taken by Graham Hobbs and a warm welcome is extended to all.

The Bridge Saundersfoot

“The Bridge Saundersfoot is a church that is a bit different, our Hello Sunday is a fresh expression of church,” said a spokesperson.

“Everyone is welcome to come and take a look at how we "do" church. Whether you are new to church and exploring the Christian faith, or if you are looking for something a bit different from the traditional expression of church or whether you are a regular church attender there is something for you.

“Hello Sunday, starts from 10am with a complimentary, breakfast of bacon rolls and pastries, coffee and tea. We are led in our singing by our band and there are often video music clips. We regularly have someone sharing part of their life story explaining how their faith has been meaningful through significant times in their lives and we hear a short talk on how the Bible applies to our lives today.  You will always get a friendly welcome and can chat or come and go quietly whatever your preference.

“We meet every Sunday at Regency Hall in Saundersfoot and we also run, at the same time, a children’s group "Kids Konnect", for primary age children. All leaders and helpers have DBS clearance.

“The Bridge also run a Baby and Toddler group, Regency Rompers on a Monday 9.30am-11am and Saundersfoot Youth Club Tuesday 7pm-9pm, Both are held in Regency Hall.”

World Day of Prayer

The theme of this year’s World Day of Prayer is ‘I beg you, bear with one another in love’, prepared by the Christian Women of Palestine.

A spokesperson said: “Prayer is even more needed at this present time, and the women are calling us to pray for the land where Jesus walked. It was where he was born, lived out his public ministry, where he was crucified and rose from the dead.

“It is the land where our faith began and was established by the first apostles and a Christian presence has been there ever since. The women of Palestine are sharing with love a reminder that they are still there, and in the midst of conflict they want to give hope to everyone. The theme of the 2024 service ‘bear with one another in love’ seems very appropriate for these women who will not give up witnessing to the love of Jesus Christ.”

Two services will be held on Friday, March 1, one at Saundersfoot Methodist Church, the Ridgeway, at 2 pm. and one at St Mary’s Church House in Tenby at 2.30pm.

Refreshments will be served afterwards and there is a warm welcome to everyone who wants to take advantage of this occasion to prayer for peace in the Holy Land.
