Summerhill WI’s Annual Strawberry Tea event was a great success, raising £160 for Haverfordwest Street Pastors.

There was good support both from local Women’s Institutes and members of the community. Thanks go to all for their support and to members for donations of cakes, raffle prizes and most especially their time on the day.

Treasurer Linda Brown handed the proceeds of the raffle, totalling £160, to Rev’d Patrica Rogers of Haverfordwest Street Pastors, this year’s chosen charity.

July also saw the Summerhill WI annual trip. The ladies had a marvellous time at the National Botanic Garden of Wales with an excellent meal at the Savoy Inn. They expressed thanks to Marlene for arranging this.

After a break for August, the next meeting will be the Harvest Supper in the Amroth Parish Hall, Summerhill at 7pm on Monday, September 8.
