SUMMERHILL WI’s May meeting at Amroth Parish Hall saw Frank Ferrer give a detailed talk about local charity Pembrokeshire FRAME.
He talked about FRAME’s recycling and upcycling ethos along with helping those who have health challenges or disabilities who wish to volunteer.
Frank also works to support people to have warmer safer and healthier homes, from advice on energy, water and heating to home safety priority services and assistance with benefit entitlements. After answering questions, he was warmly thanked by Pam for a very informative talk.
Ladies served refreshments before the raffle was drawn - Sandra was the lucky winner. Thanks were given to Hilary for the lovely flowers, also to the ladies for their monthly food bank donations, and Pam was congratulated on her recent birthday.
The business was dealt with and members agreed the visit to Cegin Gareth had been an exceptionally good day.
Flis, Jo, Belinda, Hilary and Sue H were to be commended for their first entry in the County Round and are looking forward to entering again next year.
The Federation Quiz was entered by Dawn, Linda, Flis and Sue E and although not winners they had a very enjoyable evening.
Upcoming events include an outing to the FRAME workshops in Haverfordwest followed by an afternoon at Stackpole Gardens on Tuesday, June 9. A Strawberry Tea has been planned for Friday June 19 at 2.30pm at Amroth Parish Hall, Summerhill.
The Federation Letter was read; interest was shown in the Car Treasure Hunt in July and the Heatherton Fun Day in October.
Both of the 2026 Resolutions were voted on, with members unanimously agreeing to give them their support.
The next meeting will be the outing to FRAME in Haverfordwest on June 9; ladies to arrive there at 10am.
