A VISITOR to Saundersfoot has won a monthly prize after completing a popular community trail that helps support the RNLI.

On Thursday, July 3, RNLI Saundersfoot Branch announced that Sarah Heseltine had won their June Prize Draw for the Yellow Welly Trail. Sarah, her boyfriend, and their adorable dog Teddy had a wonderful time completing the trail during their visit to the village last month.

RNLI Saundersfoot Branch described it a “joy” to see how popular the Yellow Welly Trail has become. Families, couples and four-legged friends have all been having a brilliant time exploring this beautiful area while helping to support the RNLI's life-saving work. Sarah and her companions really threw themselves into the experience – the photo on this page is the fantastic selfie they took along the way!

“Branch President, Jennie McIntosh, drew the winning entry and when we called Sarah with the good news, it brightened her day!" said James, Fundraising Coordinator from RNLI Saundersfoot Branch. “It’s moments like these that make all our hours of hard work putting the trail together so worthwhile. Seeing people enjoy themselves while supporting such an important cause is really uplifting.

“Sarah is already making plans to return to Saundersfoot before the year’s out to collect her prize and we can't wait to welcome her back and update her on the success of the trail.”

Trail entry is by donation and the shop has a progress chart on display. The total raised so far is enough to buy three pairs of yellow crew wellies!

The Yellow Welly Trail continues to bring smiles to faces, young and old, with its monthly prize draws adding an extra splash of excitement.

To join in the fun, visit the shop on High Street, opposite Harbwr Bar & Kitchen, to find out more and to pick up an entry form.
