FOLLOWING a parade on Remembrance Sunday, the community of Saundersfoot assembled in the rain to pay their respects. The Last Post ushered a poignant two-minute silence, then wreaths were set before the St Issell’s cenotaph.

The parade was led by Veterans, Royal British Legion members, uniformed organisations and civic representatives, and the service was attended by young and old.

Pupils from Saundersfoot Primary School were proud to take part in the village Remembrance Service, where they laid a wreath at the Cenotaph to honour those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Pupils have also been busy creating beautiful handmade poppies, now displayed outside the school building as a symbol of remembrance and respect.

Today (November 11), the school community came together once again to observe a minute’s silence at 11am, reflecting on the bravery and selflessness of all who have given so much.
