THE threat of Storm Floris did not deter 16 players from meeting at Penally Village Hall on August 4 for an afternoon of duplicate bridge.

Top by a long way were John & Jill with an excellent score of 63.89%, which included the only slam of the afternoon. In second place were Brenda & Alan with 54.17%.

Penally Bridge Club meets each Monday in the Village Hall at 1.15pm, regardless of the weather. Visiting players and their partners are always welcome. There is ample car parking and refreshments are provided. For further information, contact Brenda on 01834 812132.
