The iconic red telephone box in West Williamston has finally had its door repaired and re-fitted.

Back in December 7, 2024, the door was ripped off in a storm and, after nearly 10 months of waiting for insurance, refurbishment, and reinstallation, it is now back in place – better than new.

The phone box is a much-loved part of the Pembrokeshire village, and Carew Community Council knew it was important to save it for future generations. Councillors are very pleased to see this village landmark restored.

Going forward, local residents have kindly agreed to secure the door with a strap ahead of any major storms, to help protect it and ensure it remains standing strong for many more years to come.
