LAST week Neyland Ladies Choir travelled to St David and St Patrick Catholic Church in Haverfordwest for a summer concert. Despite the extreme heat, there was a full house.
Under the direction of the concert organiser and musical director Lynne Kelleher and accompanied Miranda Davies, the ladies opened up the programme with Another Day, followed by Both Sides Now and a new item, Count on Me.

The ladies were delighted to share the stage with local artistes Georgina Morris on the flute; Maria and Janelle Cabral with beautiful violin duets; Malayali Catholic Community Choir; Julie Conybeare and Margaret Blackledge with the clarinet; and soloist Joshua Morris.

The choir completed the final set with three items: Why We Sing, Ar Hyd a Nos with Josh performing a solo on the second verse and Georgie accompanying on the flute, and ending with Can You Feel the Love Tonight with soloist Julie Conybeare on the clarinet.

Everyone joined in with the performers for a rousing finale with Assembly Bangers accompanied by Miranda on the piano, Louise Barrington, and a few tambourines expertly handled by the audience.
It was a lighthearted, fun concert raising £800 and everyone was rewarded with a beautiful buffet provided by the members of the church - a great way to end the term.
