Its inaugural online meeting went “swimmingly” as a community council was among the first in Pembrokeshire to hold a digital committee due to coronavirus.
The Havens Community Council – covering broad Haven, Little Haven and the surrounding areas – held its April meeting on Tuesday, April 7 while maintaining the strictest social distancing with the use of technology – video conferencing app Zoom.
The members were “embracing new tech to make sure we can carry on” said Clr. Mark Burch.
The community council would normally hold its meetings in Broad Haven Village Hall.
On the agenda for the meeting was pathways at Atlantic Drive, Broad Haven and holiday home and second home owners visiting during the UK lockdown, which has been raising concerns in many areas of Pembrokeshire.
Also being discussed was a planning application for alterations and extension to a home on Sandyke Road, Broad Haven.
Future meetings are set to be held in the same way, until restrictions on movement are lifted.
