With communities across the UK encouraged to stand outside their households or hang out their windows during lockdown at 8 pm every Thursday evening to show support for the NHS and other key workers - locally residents in Tenby and Saundersfoot have been out in force to cheer and clap along with the rest of the country.

Tenby town crier Jim Cornwell even rang his bell in support last Thursday (April 2) on Victoria Street to join neighbours clapping in support of NHS front line staff and all those working to make sure we are safe.

“Tenby is doing their bit by staying at home and self distancing when going out - and well done to all those shop workers and volunteer personnel not forgetting those in care homes looking after the elderly,” said Jim.

Respect was also given to the fabulous Ludlow family of Saundersfoot on social media, who have been banging the drum for frontline workers at 8 pm - with added NHS illuminations in their window, showing community spirit at its best!
