A weekend walk to warm up along one of Tenby’s busy beaches is not the usual spot where you’d expect to receive a ‘cold call’.

But that’s exactly what happened to Dave Phillips of Lydstep, who was strolling alongside the dunes of the South Beach on Saturday afternoon with his wife Chris, heading towards Giltar Point, when he heard a ring coming from the emergency phone box post in the vicinity, and was stunned to receive a PPI call!

“I thought I better answer it just in case it was Camelot informing me of a lottery win...or more likely my daughter wanting something!” joked Dave.

“I was amazed to hear an automated message about PPI...which just shows that you can get a nuisance call like that anytime and any place!!” he added.
