Staff at Pembroke Dock’s Cleddau Bridge Hotel are set to lose their jobs as the hotel is expected to cease trading from January 2.
The hotel’s general manager, Natalie John, posted the news online on Wednesday, with 40 members of staff told the sad news at a meeting that morning.
“It is with great regret, I am writing to inform you that the Cleddau Bridge Hotel will cease trading as of January 2, 2018. With numerous staff having worked here for over 10 years, it is a sad time for us all,” wrote Ms John, who explained that she was told the news on Boxing Day by owners, Five Rivers Hotel Group.
Local AM Eluned Morgan said that the news had been delivered at the worst time of the year for the 30 staff and their families.
“I will be working with the local councillor to seek support for those affected by this decision,” she said.
