Next month will see the official opening of the revived ‘Tenby Charter Fair’.
Speaking to members of the town council at their meeting on Tuesday night, the town clerk Andrew Davies explained that the idea was for a parade to take place starting from the De Valence at 12 noon down the High Street to an official opening of the fair at the Five Arches car park at 12.30 pm on Friday, October 19.
The ‘Charter Fair of the Feast of St Matthew’ (granted to Tenby by Charles 1st in 1631) is due to run over three days, taking in Saturday and Sunday too.
“If it proves sucessful, it may be up for extending over future years,” said Mr. Davies.
