An artist from Tenby has pleaded not guilty to charges of dishonestly failing to notify a change of circumstances that would affect his entitlement to social security benefits.
Fifty-two-year-old Dorian Spencer Davies, of High Street, appeared at Haverfordwest magistrates court on Tuesday, when he denied failing to notify Pembrokeshire County Council of a change of circumstances that would affect his entitlement to housing and council tax benefit, between October 12, 2009 and March 3, 2013, namely that he was working as an artist and in receipt of commissions.
He also pleaded not guilty to a further charge of failing to notify the department for work and pensions, of a change of circumstances that would affect his benefits, between October 7, 2009 and April 10 of this year.
Magistrates set a date for Mr. Davies to appear in court again for trial on Monday, October 14.
