Streetcare Hays Lane - this is still outstanding.
The Community Council had been unsuccessful in obtaining money from Enhancing Pembrokeshire Grant for purchase of defibrillators for the Parish. However, Further suggestions for funding and organisations received
Councillors discussed other likely projects for the Second home Council Tax levy on houses in the Parish of Carew.
Planning
18/0877/PA - Variation of condition 2 of planning permission 13/0429/PA Land Adjacent to Pincheston Farm Complex, Sageston, Tenby - This was heard at Planning Committee on April 9.
NP/19/0173/FUL - Change of use of land to east of Pisgah Baptist Chapel cemetery, Cresswell Quay, Cresselly. Cllr Thomas declared an interest. Councillors perused the plans and accompanying documentation and application form. There were no adverse comments nor obvious grounds for refusal identified and Councillors recommend to PCNPA that permission be granted.
Communication received from Building Projects Manager at PCNPA regarding proposed drainage connection works from the Walled Garden of the Castle to Birds Lane. A Contractor will be appointed shortly to carry out this work and Building Projects Manager will keep the Community Council updated regarding confirmed commencement and completion dates. Information noted.
Parish Matters
Report on the appalling dog mess along the Paddock Walk from Milton Marsh Walk. Also images have been put up on the effect on children of being in contact with dog mess. Environmental Enforcement to be contacted regarding the mess.
Report on the parking and safety of children within the school playground had been improved by painting of white lines for car spaces and for children crossing the yard. Also report on proposed plans to extend the school playground by possible purchase of more land. Councillors look forward to receiving more information as and when available.
Received from Broadway Partners regarding better broadband services in Pembrokeshire. Contents noted.
Request for survey information from PCNPA on Walking Groups. Contents noted. There is no formal walking group specifically in Carew but the Pembrokeshire Ramblers meet frequently at the Castle Car Park.
Temporary Road Closure notice along Rosemary Lane.
War memorial Carew - coping stones on the wall at the entrance to the main car park are loose. Site Manager to Carew Castle to be contacted.
Footpath from Milton to Radford Farm through the fields is in need of attention due to mud as this is a Right of Way.
Dwr Cymru to be asked to meet as soon as convenient regarding the outflow pipe at Old Quarry in Milton.
Milton Play Park Bridge - needs inspection as it is in a poor state of repair.
Carew Club are in the final of West Wales Cup on May 7 and Community Councillors wish them well in their endeavours.
The next meeting will be the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, May 9 2019 at 7 pm in the Meetings Room of Carew Memorial Hall.
