Valero Pembroke Refinery has announced a number of open days starting next week for members of the public to view plans for the proposed Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Cogeneration Unit at Valero Pembroke Refinery.

Valero has submitted plans for a CHP Unit to provide power to the refinery, as well as supplement the refinery’s steam demand.

From January to March, the company has been engaging with the local community at a series of meetings with community and town councils, including Angle, Stackpole and Castlemartin, Hundleton, Pembroke, Cosheston, Pembroke Dock, Neyland, Llanstadwell, Milford Haven, St. Ishmaels and Dale.

The 45 megawatt unit under review by Valero is a Development of National Significance and next week will see the start of four public open days during the project’s statutory consultation period.

The open days will be taking place in Pembroke Dock (Pater Hall, 10.30 am - 4.30 pm, Wednesday, May 10), Hubberston (Hubberston and Hakin Youth Club, 10.30am - 4.30 pm, Thursday, May 11), Pembroke (Pembroke Town Hall, 10.30 am - 4.30 pm, Monday, May 15) and Milford Haven (Murray Suite, Milford Haven Town Hall, 10.30 am - 4.30 pm, Thursday, May 18).
