Seventeen-year-old Cethin Ravenhill, a pupil in Year 13, at Pembroke Comprehensive School has recently represented Great Britain in the Under Water Hockey World Championships in Dordecht, Holland.

There were 11 international teams in the competition, including Australia, New Zealand, Columbia, South Africa, Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Turkey, Scotland and Great Britain.

The Great Britain Under Water Hockey Under 19s Girls, which Cethin was a part of, won a bronze medal, with South Africa silver and New Zealand gold.

The semi-final was a tough game between Spain and Great Britain, with a final score of 11 points to GB and one to Spain.

Cethin has been playing octopush for around six years. She first represented Wales in 2006. She has been training with the Great Britain squad for two years and last year again won bronze in the European/South Africa Championships.

Cethin was the only Under 19 from Wales to make the Great Britain team this year.
