There’s a new name in Kilgetty!
It’s Bridge Caff which has recently been opened by Suzie Jones and Owen Duffy.
Formerly a fabric shop, the premises in Carmarthen Road has been completely refurbished to create a cafe boasting a menu suiting all times of the day.
The cafe is next door to Bumper to Bumper Motor Factors and directly opposite the White Horse Inn pub. Parking is available around the back of the premises by Kilgetty Scout Hut.
Currently open Monday-Saturday, Suzie and Owen have worked together in the food industry for four years, but it was always their idea to open a community cafe. They have been purchasing equipment over the last two years and when the opportunity for the premises came about, they jumped at the chance to turn their ideas into reality.
There hasn’t been a cafe in Kilgetty for many years so Owen and Suzie opening Bridge Caff has been warmly welcomed in the village.
A breakfast menu is served all day, with large and small breakfasts, plus the Bridge Buster - three bacon, two eggs, three sausages, beans, two hash browns, tomatoes, mushrooms, two toast and an orange juice. There’s also breakfast rolls and breakfast wraps.
In addition, the menu also includes tastily filled toasties, wraps, salads, jacket potatoes, plus a range of burgers and weekly specials ranging from chilli, chips and cheese, scampi, chips and peas to chicken skewers on a bed of salad with corn on the cob.
What’s more, there’s a wide range of hot and cold drinks, plus home-made cakes. A children’s menu is also served.
As the weather gets colder, home-made soups and cawl will be available throughout the winter, while in the run-up to Christmas, there will be festive baguettes, rolls and wraps, plus warm mince pies.
There’s pensioners specials day is starting on Wednesday, November 8, and will be on offer every Wednesday. For £7, pensioners can choose any main meal with a cake of their choice and a pot of tea or a coffee.
Over the winter, menu prices will be dropped too, while from January 2-31, there will be a special offer of two standard breakfasts for £10 with tea or coffee.
Bridge Caff is also available for children’s parties and a special menu can be tailored depending on requirements and budget.
