Then: The year was 2007 and Saundersfoot Footlights presented their annual pantomime in the original Regency Hall in Saundersfoot. There are several cast members who took part in the pantomime back then that are still very active members of Footlights today. Interestingly, the cast featured a young Angharad Thomas, who now has her own successful photography business and recently provided professional photography to promote the 2016 ‘Peter Pan’. Angharad’s mother, Andrea Thomas, played the part of Smee and is pictured sitting to the right of the banner opposite Ben Stone, who also played a pirate. Captain Hook was played by Gareth Morris, Janine Evans played Peter Pan and Amy Deverson took on the role of Tinkerbell. Jill Butler, Kate and Lauren Williams, Bethan and Tom Griffiths, Matt Morris, Sallie Griffiths, Polly Elston and the Gee family are amongst others making up the rest of the cast.
Now: Running from December 5-10, this time around it is pretty much all change with the cast of ‘Peter Pan’ and there is a greater emphasis on dance routines to complement a super Motown musical score. Directed by Jo Morris, this is going to be a fun and lively theatre experience that all the family and all ages will enjoy.
