St. Issell’s Church was delighted to welcome the Bishop of St. Davids, the Rt. Reverend Joanna Penberthy, to their service last Sunday. She came to confirm three new members of the congregation. The girls are sisters and their parents and grandparents were also either confirmed or married in St. Issell’s. It has been lovely getting to know the girls over the last few weeks as they have attended confirmation classes with Father Paul and attended services with their family.

The Bishop was accompanied by her chaplain, Rev. Caroline Mansell, who was back on familiar territory, having been a member of the St. Issell’s congregation for many years and she enjoyed catching up with old friends..

It was a joyous occasion and everyone stayed behind to enjoy lunch after the service and chat to the Bishop.
