When your birthday falls on Christmas Eve presents are always a problem, but this year to celebrate her 80th birthday, Anne Watkins from Stepaside, decided to ask her family and friends for donations in aid of the Pembrokeshire Branch of Guide Dogs Cymru instead of presents.
Last week Anne met up with Pembrokeshire Branch Secretary, Eva rich and her guide dog Oyster, and presented Eva with a cheque for £300.
Eva expressed sincere thanks to Anne for choosing Guide Dogs as the charity to benefit from her birthday donations, and Oyster added her thanks with lots of tail wagging.
This donation will help towards the training of guide dogs who provide visually impaired people with mobility and independence in safety, something that Eva, with the help of Oyster her sixth guide dog, fully appreciates.
Thank you Anne and a belated happy birthday.
