It's been a beach-themed weekend for National Trust surf ambassador Raife Gaskell and the Stackpole team who organised a beach clean at Freshwater West on the weekend.
Over 80 people turned up to help collect as much litter as possible from the beach, totalling a fantastic 117 bags being removed!
Big thanks go to all of those who helped, from members of the Pembrokeshire Surf Ryders and their families, to locals and supporters. Special thanks to Chris Rigby and his team from the RNLI for providing vehicles and manpower on the day.
The Stackpole Centre was also the chosen venue to show the pre-release screening of the British surf movie 'The Endless Winter.'
Organised by Pembrokeshire Surf Ryders, all monies taken on the night went to the Matt Blacksell charity. Tickets were sold out on the night and over £500 was raised in total.
Rebecca Stock, operations manager at Stackpole, said: "Both the film and the beach clean have been a huge success. There has been an excellent turnout this weekend and we couldn't have asked for better support, which was purely down to Raife and the Pembrokeshire Surf Ryders for all of their hard work in organising and promoting these events. Raife is a passionate surfer with a love of the coastline and I am looking forward to working with him as surf ambassador to further promote the work of the National Trust in Pembrokeshire."
